This year's Leadership Lecture will be by Donovan Rypkema on the 
economics of historic preservation.  Mr. Rypkema, Principal of 
PlaceEconomics, has lectured widely on economic and preservation 
issues relating to rehabilitation, community development and 
commercial revitalization. His specific fields of consultation 
include feasibility analyses for real estate and market analysis, 
economic revitalization of downtowns and neighborhood commercial 
centers, and the rehabilitation of historic structures.

This is a follow-up to last year's lecture by Joe Riley, Mayor of 
Charleston, SC. Mr. Riley gave us his unique perspective on why 
preservation matters to communities, and Mr. Rypkema will show us why 
preservation is profitable.
