City of Durham Non-City Agency Application Session February 18
Applications Now Available on City's Web Site; Applications Due March 13

* City of Durham 2009-2010 Non-City Agency (NCA) grant
applications are now available on the City's Web site at
www.durhamnc.gov/departments/bms/grants.cfm
<http://www.durhamnc.gov/departments/bms/grants.cfm> . NCA grants fund
operations between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.
* NCA grant funds can be used for any type of expenditure
(personnel, operating, capital and administrative or programmatic).
Agencies interested in applying for this funding should provide services
that support Durham City Council's eight goals. NCA funds can only be
used for operations occurring within the city limits.
* In order to be eligible for NCA funds, the agency must be
recognized as a 501(c) 3 non-profit by the Internal Revenue Service
(IRS), must be incorporated in the State of North Carolina, and must
provide services in the city.
* The City is hosting an Application Assistance Session for
incorporated non-profit agencies interested in applying for NCA funding
during the upcoming fiscal year. The assistance session serves to:
* Explain the application and evaluation process.
* Provide technical assistance with the application.
* Answer any questions applicants may have about the
application and evaluation process.
* Applications are due into the City's Department of Budget and
Management Services no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2009.
