 Would you like to receive statewide recognition?   How would you feel
about a nice plaque in your clubhouse touting your association as
Community of the Year?  Do you know a manager who deserves to have the
title of "Manager of the Year"?  The Recognition Committee is dedicated
to finding and honoring those communities, volunteers, managers, and
developers who go above and beyond the call of duty.   All Community
Associations (HOAs) in North Carolina are eligible, as are their board
members, committee members, community association developers, and
community managers!



The only way you or your nominee can be considered for the award is to
submit an application. How else will the judges know about the difficult
renovation you undertook?  Or about how a committee chairperson smoothly
guided your community to the solution to a drainage problem?  Or about
your community's homeowner-minded developer that held special social
events for neighbors at his own cost?  Now is not the time to be shy.
Current and potential homeowners see real value in a good community.  If
your community is the best, it's time to let everyone know!



Applications are attached and will also soon be available on our website
at www.cai-nc.org.  Not sure what to write?  We're making some sample
applications available on the website for those who don't know where to
start.  The application is designed to help the judges know what your
nominee or community has accomplished in the past twelve months.  The
deadline for the applications is July 3, 2009.  The Recognition
Committee wanted to give potential nominees ample time so current
projects can be documented and photographed.  All judges will be PCAMs
(Professional Community Association Managers) from states other than
North Carolina to ensure the highest level of impartiality.



Nominating a successful association, volunteer, or manager is a great
way to thank those who put in the hours of work communities demand and
to give recognition to those individuals who deserve accolades, but
might otherwise be forgotten in busy times.



The CAI-NC Recognition Committee will announce the 2009 winners at the
Annual Meeting, Trade Show, and Awards Luncheon on Friday, September 25
at Renaissance Raleigh Hotel North Hills (4100 Main at North Hills
Street, Raleigh, NC  27609).  More information about the location is

We wish all of you luck in winning but remember that we know all of our
members deserve recognition for their hard work in this challenging
industry.
