Fast Facts:

* The DCHC MPO, a regional organization responsible for long
range transportation planning in Durham and parts of Orange and Chatham
counties, is requesting public feedback on the 2035 Long Range
Transportation Plan (2035 LRTP) and the Air Quality Analysis and
Conformity Determination Report.

* The 2035 LRTP lists future highway, bus transit, light rail,
bicycle, pedestrian, and other transportation projects to be implemented
through the year 2035, while the air quality report determines whether
the plan meets federal air quality standards.

* The public hearing and comment period is an opportunity for
residents to provide input to elected officials on these future
transportation projects.

* Copies of the 2035 LRTP and air quality report are currently
available for review at the City of Durham Transportation Division in
the Department of Public Works, Durham City/County Planning Department
as well as the public libraries in Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties,
the City of Durham, and the Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and
Hillsborough. Copies are also available at the DCHC MPO Web site at
www.dchcmpo.org.

* For additional information, or to submit comments during the
public comment period, contact Andrew Henry, transportation planner with
the City of Durham/DCHC MPO, at (919) 560-4366, extension 294 or via
e-mail at andrew.henry at durhamnc.gov.
