> •	The 2009 Earth Day Festival will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25 in Durham.

> Durham, N.C. –To observe the importance of everyday being a day to celebrate the earth, Durham City and County Governments have declared April 2009 Earth Month.  Earth Month, designated as a period to learn about address climate change and other pressing environmental issues, gives citizens of Durham an opportunity to make a personal and collective commitment to protect the natural environment through education, partnerships and positive actions.
