Increases Crime 

Partners Against Crime (PAC) District 1

Will hold a meeting 

With 

Durham County Public School official

At Eastway Elementary School

On Saturday August 15, 2009

9:30A.M. to 11:30 A.M.

We are losing children to gangs, jails, and funeral homes.

Partners Against Crime (PAC) District 1, are pleased to invite you to the
August 15, 2009 PAC-1 meeting at Eastway Elementary School commencing at
9:30 a.m. to discuss dropouts, suspensions, and expulsions of Durham County
students.  

District 1 is rich in pride and commitment and this meeting is just one
example of how we continuously seek to improve the safety and quality of
life for our community.  Great things are happening in District 1 like the
Holton Career and Resource Center, Operation Bull's Eye, and we hope to soon
witness the beginning of East Durham's Children's Initiative. 

This meeting will be hosted by PAC-1 however; we expect that community
leaders from PAC-4, the Durham NAACP, People's Alliance, Durham Committee on
the affairs of Black People, City- County Violence Prevention Committee and
Durham for Obama's Education committee will attend in support of our effort
to alleviate concerns about the increasing number of youth associated
crimes.

Our honored quest will be Durham Public Schools Chairperson Minnie Forte
Brown, Omega Parker, Rev. Fredrick A Davis. Staff also invited Dr. Debbie
Pittman and Dr. Nathan Cury. Dr. Carl Harris was invited.

 

At Eastway Elementary School - On Saturday August 15, 2009- 9:30A.M. till
11:30 A.M.
