[Durham INC] LAST PUBLIC HEARING on JORDAN LAKE WATERSHED REZONING - Mon, Oct 12

There was a very interesting discussion on NPR this morning regarding drought in the Southeast -- with an emphasis on booming population and development, as opposed to climate change.  It adds the the reasons why the J lake watershed rezoning is an ill-conceived plan.

The BOCC will vote on this rezoning, which would pave the way for more dense development on the fringe of Jordan Lake in South Durham, this coming Monday, Oct 12 (County Admin Bldg, 7 PM). Please come and bring your kids -- it's bound to be an educational experience...

In the meantime, please write the commissioners again with your concerns. This is the LAST public hearing on the matter.
