[Durham INC] Durham Farmers' Market Summer Hours Start the Saturday

Good Morning!

This Saturday, April 3rd, the Durham Farmers' Market will switch from winter hours to normal summer hours.  The new hours are 8am to Noon.  The Wednesday Market will start on May 5th, its hours are 3:30 to 6:30pm.

The Market is located at 501 Foster Street at the Pavilion at Durham Central Park. More than 50 vendors will be offering a wide array of locally grown fruits and vegetables including fresh greens, greenhouse grown tomatoes and greenhouse grown
strawberries.  You can also find locally raised meats, eggs, cheeses,
and locally made baked goods (including gluten free), prepared foods
and drinks, and crafts, including hand-dyed clothes, baskets, photos, soaps, and pottery.

As
part of the regular "Chef in the Market", Chef Amy Tornquist from Watts
Grocery will be doing a cooking demonstration at 10am.  There is music at the market nearly every week; this week, music will be by local soul jazz ensemble, The Beast.
