Preservation North Carolina and  Preservation Durham Need Your Help in East 
Durham on Saturday, April 17

 
Bring your work gloves and join us to help prepare three vacant historic 
houses in East  Durham for renovation as part of _Project  RED_ 
(http://www.presnc.org/Property/East-Durham-Revitalization/) . All levels of skill are 
needed for tasks such as  trash pickup, yard work, removal of aluminum siding, 
etc. Lend a helping  hand to nonprofit partners Preservation North Carolina 
and Preservation Durham  as we work with neighborhood residents to help 
revive East Durham as a vibrant, diverse and affordable neighborhood!   
On Saturday, April 17, we'll be working from 9:00 a.m. to  1:00 p.m. _Meet

Open House:  Sunday, April  18
Persons interested in the  great potential of this historic neighborhood 
should drop by our Open  House on Sunday afternoon, April 18 from 2:00–4:00 
p.m. Three of the Project RED houses that will be  renovated by PNC and PD 
will be  open to the public. The houses range in  size from 1400-1600 square 
feet and will be priced (fully renovated)  between $94,000-$125,000. PNC and  
PD staff will be available to discuss design plans for the homes and the  
planned renovation work, as well as answer questions about the overall  
neighborhood revitalization project.
