Durham Career Day May 19

Day-Long Event Part of Month-Long Conference to Empower Jobseekers and Encourage Employer Growth

 

What:              Durham Career Day

 

Where:            Northgate Mall (near Chick-Fil-A)

When:             Wednesday, May 19, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

                        

Who:               Durham JobLink Career Center, State of North Carolina Division of Workforce Development, Employment Security Commission (ESC), City of Durham, Durham County Government,  Durham Technical Community College,  ESC Veteran's Department,  Northgate Mall and Associates, National Caucus and Center on Black Aged, Inc., Durham County Department of Social Services, Durham Workforce Development Board, Self-Help Credit Union, Duke University's Human Resources Department, Northgate Sales and Service Training Center, Chic Fil-A, Dress for Success, Zemo Trevathan and Associates, North Carolina Bar Association, JobLink Ex-Offender Program, JobLink Disability Navigator Program, Vocational Rehabilitation, Workforce Investment Act - JobLink - Youth and Adult Programs, and Triangle Research Partners

 

Fast Facts:

·         In an effort to promote employee and employer growth this year, the Durham JobLink Career Center is hosting a Career Day as part of its Durham Career Conference 2010 for the first time at Northgate Mall.  

 

·         Career Day will host more than 20 employers with job vacancies that will be present and accepting résumés as well as conducting preliminary interviews.

	*	Participants will be required to fill out a small registration card to receive a "passport" to enter the event.

 

	*	Participants are encouraged to bring their résumés and come prepared to complete employment applications and conduct on-site, preliminary interviews.
