MUSEUM OF LIFE AND SCIENCE DURHAM APPRECIATION DAY
Sunday, November 7, 2010 - 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Cost: FREE for Durham residents
On Sunday, November 7, the Museum invites Durham residents to visit the
Museum - for free. Experience the tropics in the Magic Wings Butterfly
House, go back in time on the Dinosaur Trail and fossil dig site, explore
new exhibits and visit old favorites.
Durham's Museum of Life and Science has been voted the "Best Area Museum,"
Top Place to Bring Your Children in the Triangle," and "Top Field Trip".
Come and find out why!
For free admission on November 7, each adult must show photo ID that shows
Durham County residency. Donations are encouraged and appreciated! For

Teddy Bear Clinic - On the Ball for Children's Health
Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7
Discover how amazing your body is. What makes your heart beat? How do your
lungs work? Where do yucky germs come from and how do they make you sick?
Bring your teddy bear to the doctor station for a check-up by a Duke
Children's Hospital professional or take part in one of many hands-on
healthy lifestyle activities. This event is presented in partnership by the
Museum of Life and Science, Duke Children's Hospital, and Mix 101.5

Holiday Springs & Sprockets - Art That Moves, by Steve Gerberich
November 23 - January 4, 2011

Featuring five large-scale, holiday-themed sculptures and installations,
Gerberich explores scientific principles in artfully creative ways appealing
to both kids and adults alike.
