Subject: Kids Voting Tomorrow!

Please consider sending out a message like this to friends and listserves to
help get out the kid voters:

Pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students in Durham can cast their ballots --
just like adults -- at polling sites with a Kids Voting booth on Election Day,
Tuesday, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. or online at kidsvotingdurham.org. Kids Voting
Durham polling booths will be available at precincts including Brogden Middle
School, George Watts Elementary School, the N.C. School of Science and
Mathematics, Durham School of the Arts, Durham County Agricultural
Building/Durham Cooperative Extension, Durham County Main Library, Pearsontown
Elementary, Cole Mill Road Church of Christ, Shepard Magnet School, E.K. Powe
Elementary, McMannen United Methodist Church and South Regional Library. When
kids vote as students, say experts, they are more likely to vote as adults. And
they often inspire their parents to vote, too. Research shows adult turnout
increases 3 percent to 5 percent in areas that have Kids Voting programs.

For more information, e-mail info at kidsvotingdurham.org or call Carolyn Kreuger
at (919) 560-7321.

And don’t forget to mark your calendars for Kids Voting Election Celebration on
Nov. 11 at 6:30 at Hayti Heritage Center and be sure to invite your volunteers
and students,

Thanks,

Carolyn
