[Durham INC] Urban Open Space Plan

The purpose of the Durham Urban Open Space Plan is to create policies appropriate to the preservation and enhancement of open space in Durham’s urban core, as well as to identify such lands that are of prime importance as open space in our urban fabric.






Planning staff will hold an open
house in March to get additional feedback from a variety of stakeholders on
downtown open space. All are welcome -- they should be coming out with date, time, and place soon. Shortly after the open house, they will reconvene
the Advisory Committee to review the findings from the open house and discuss
ways that to guide them towards identifying proper open space in the Compact
Neighborhood Tier.
