I know it may give heartburn to the Duke fans and Durham chauvanists out there, but look at this as a Triangle-wide thing. Paducah (KY) is apparently applying all they've learned about voting early and often in political races and have twice as many votes as Chapel Hill. And you don't even have to say that Chapel Hill or anything is your "friend" on Facebook.

Regards, pat

Vote for Chapel Hill as 2011's Distinctive Destination

Posted Date: 2/16/2011

Vote every day at
www.preservationnation.org/ddd.
On Feb. 15, Chapel Hill was designated a Distinctive Destination by the National Trust for Historic Preservation along with 11 other towns or cities nationwide.
Between February 15 and March 15 each city will compete for Fan Favorite by soliciting and acquiring votes on the Trust's website. We want to recruit local residents, business owners, students, alumni and the surrounding areas to vote daily, to encourage their friends and family to vote, and to have fun making Chapel Hill the Fan Favorite.
