STROKE/BOOK

Little Green Pig brings you its latest world premiere by David Turkel, one
of America¹s most exciting underground playwrights.... Inspired by Yukio
Mishima¹s modern adaptations of classic Noh dramas, David Turkel¹s
STROKE/ BOOK tell two stories about the intertwined worlds of the living and
the dead. ³a night of linked one-acts filled with power and mystery.²

In STROKE, a scheming Victorian family forces a young girl to confront her
burgeoning womanhood through a hasty courtship. Over the course of a single
evening, she reunites with her dead twin brother and discovers a terrifying
truth about the place she inhabits.

BOOK, set in contemporary America, begins with a teenager soliciting a
prostitute with money he earned from babysitting her mentally challenged
son. This proposition launches a pattern of shame and betrayal that pursues
the boy for decades through war and recovery, fame and anonymity, marriage
and divorce, and, possibly, future generations.
House sizes are very small so reserve now! Tickets/info:

through Wednesday, March 23

Introducing Doug Desjardins; and outsider artist

³Utilizing found objects as basic as a scrap of wood and as strange as a
found canvas smeared with joint compound, Doug (Dugg/Dude) creates worlds
where shaman sit in trees, llamas reside in love hotels, and mermaids are
joined at the hip...literally. Words really can not describe Doug's work
except to say that he is a true visionary with stories to tell through his
art.²
