Durham Closes Revere Road for Reconstruction and Resurfacing Project

Closure and Detours in Effect for Traffic Until July 2011

 

DURHAM, N.C. - Due to major reconstruction of three sections of Revere
Road, the City of Durham's Public Works Department is closing the entire
length of Revere Road from N.C. Highway 54 to Sedwick Road to all
vehicular traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.  

 

The street will remain closed until July 2011, in order for the City to
completely reconstruct three sections of the road, repave the entire
length of the road, and replace approximately 9,000 feet of curb and
many driveway connections.

 

Residents are encouraged to follow detour signs to N.C. Highway 54 and
Grandale Drive. To view a detour map, or for more information about this
