A separate county notification was about a cut in the landline 911 lines from Parkwood -- do we need to worry about back-ups for this kind of service?

Press Release
Immunization Requirement Change for 2011-2012 School Year Durham County Health Department will Offer Free Tdap Vaccine while Supplies Last.
April 27, 2011
Durham, NC - Ensuring children are up-to-date on immunizations is one of the most important things parents can do to protect their children from preventable diseases. Recently, the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) immunization requirement for rising 6th grade students have changed. Durham County Health Department is taking steps to raise awareness of the recent change and offer the vaccine free of charge during the month of May.
Students entering the 6th grade during the 2011-2012 school year, attending public schools, are required to receive a booster dose of Tdap vaccine before the start of school. To verify receipt of the vaccine, parents and guardians will be asked to provide a certificate of immunization on the first day of school. Therefore, students attending year-round school will need proof of immunization by the first day of school on July 18 and August 25 for traditional schools.
While supplies last, the Durham County Health Department will provide the Tdap vaccine free of charge on Tuesday May 3 and May 24, from 3 - 6 p.m., at the Durham Public Schools Staff Development Center, located at 2107 Hillandale Road, Durham.
"Vaccines protect people from preventable diseases and help to assure children grow into healthy and strong adults," said Gayle Harris, director of the Durham County Health Department.
The Tdap vaccine may also be obtained for free while supplies last at the Durham County Health Department Immunization Clinic on Monday through Friday, from 8:30 - 11 a.m. and 1- 4 p.m. The Immunization Clinic is closed the first Wednesday afternoon of each month. The Health Department is located in the new Human Services Building, located at 414 East Main Street. An appointment must be made to receive the Tdap Vaccination at the Durham County Health Department.
