[Durham INC] Planning Department news -- new person and latest set to submittals to the department

I am very pleased to announce that Ms. Alysia Bailey-Taylor will begin work as the new Development Review Work Group Supervisor for the Durham City-County Planning Department, effective next Monday (May 23, 2011).  Ms. Bailey-Taylor’s work group is responsible for review of site plans and subdivisions in the City and County of Durham, as well as many other related reviews of development proposals. Ms. Bailey-Taylor comes to the Department with over ten years of experience with the City of Raleigh, the Town of Holly Springs and in the private sector.  I am confident Ms. Bailey-Taylor’s experience, skills and demonstrated work ethic will be a tremendous addition to the Department. Please join me in warmly welcoming Ms. Bailey-Taylor. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Sara Young, who has served as Development Review Supervisor in an acting capacity for over nine months, in addition to her regular duties as Supervisor of the Department’s Urban Design Work Group Supervisor.  Ms. Young’s leadership of the Development Review Work Group has been outstanding and has led to many improvements in the development review process.
