  Everyone knows my concern over environmentally responsible development and protection of our water resources, but this is also a private property issue for all who currently live in Durham.

  Properties throughout Northgate Park and elsewhere are being adversely (and severely) affected by the way the once meandering streams on their property have turned into stormwater drainage systems that cannot handle the runoff.

  Please watch our short video about Durham’s development issues in South East Durham near Falls Lake.  You can see that the amount of sediment from a recent rainfall (July 8, 2011) of less than ½ inch is pretty bad.  Durham has been progressive in many areas, and we hope that Durham will hold the same high standards for future development practices in Durham.
