Will:

By all means, come and introduce the resolution at tomorrow's meeting. We
normally give all resolutions at least a month after introduction before
voting, so sooner started the better.

I will put your item on the agenda.

Tom

Subject: Urban Open Space resolution by INC?

Dear Tom,

The Open Space committee of the Durham Open Space and Trails commission has
for years been pushing for an Urban Open Space plan. We've been pushing for
a plan that promotes environmental health and equity in the urban areas.
Although the Planning Department is now working on a UOS plan, the main
objectives for such a plan are either not being considered or being actively
dismissed in favor of downtown commercial interests. This weekend's report
on the closing of the downtown greenspace lot next to Greenfire's
Woolworth's wall reduces our UOS that much more.

I've attached a draft resolution for your consideration, and plan to attend
tomorrow night's meeting if there's time to discuss it. Should I be sending
this out on the email list?

Thanks for considering it.
