Durham Working to Locate Major Water Main Break

 

DURHAM, N.C.- The City of Durham Water Management Department is
diligently working to locate and repair a major water main break, which
is affecting multiple neighborhoods in Northern Durham and downtown. 

 

Crews have been dispatched to locate and repair the break as quickly as
possible. Since this is an evolving situation, as soon as additional
information is available regarding this issue, it will be provided. 

 

If residents note flooded streets or water gushing from manholes, they
are asked to immediately contact Durham One Call to report the issue and
location at (919) 560-1200.

The City's Water Management Department is responsible for the operation
and maintenance of Durham's water supply, water treatment and water
reclamation (wastewater treatment) facilities, the collection and
distribution systems (including meter reading), and customer billing
