So- does this article indicate that the council did endorse this project?
"The council meeting itself lasted for only about 21 minutes, long enough
for members to settle the night’s major piece of business by endorsing a
Durham Housing Authority grant request to help finance the development
of 20 apartments for homeless people."

Subject: [Durham INC] Council Mulls Possible Grant for DHA Project
Hi Folks,
I wanted everyone to see Ray Gronberg's story in the Herald-Sun this morning:
http://www.heraldsun.com/view/full_story/15944774/article-Council-mulls-possible-grant-for-DHA-project-?instance=homesecondleft
In a nutshell, the Durham Housing Authority is planning to build twenty new rental units in North East Central Durham at an average cost of $135,000 apiece (not counting the land value.) They want the City Council to give them some funds for this.
Before the Council approves this, I think our neighborhoods need to be consulted and involved.
John
