[Durham INC] Thanks and Help!

INC Delegates,
I want to thank you for the confidence you expressed by electing me as President of the INC for the coming year.  
I really do believe, however, that INC's success will depend more on you than on me.  Without as many neighborhoods as possible actively participating in INC, we can't accomplish very much.  
A perfect example of that is the committee, chaired by Phil Azar, that we established at our last meeting to examine zoning and compact neighborhood tiers.  We established the committee because of the tremendous complexity of the questions surrounding compact neighborhood tiers.  We are going to need a variety of people with different areas of expertise on this committee:  lawyers, architects, city planners, just to name a few.  I'll be the first to admit that I'm a babe in the woods when it comes to these issues.  
But in order to get the largest amount of input, I'm going to work hard to try to get more neighborhoods to participate in INC, and to make sure that participating neighborhoods send a delegate every month.  We need everyone.
I would also really like to hear your suggestions and advice.  What would you like to see INC do?  What would you do in my position?  Please feel free to post ideas to listserv, or if you would like to contact me privately, I welcome your emails at:  bulldurhamnc at yahoo.com
