[Durham INC] Durham County's Strategic Plan Town Hall Forums kick off today!

I attended last night's meeting at Northern High School. I recommend the Forums to everyone.  

They will show you how far they are on defining goals and measures and then will solicit comments from the group.  

There was plenty of opportunity to speak. The process took less than two hours. 

We had four County Commissioners there as well. In their remarks at the close, they emphasized that this Plan will help determine what they decide to do as well as  what they will decide the County does not have enough money to do.

The public comments on how to measure such things as transparency and accountability were very enlightening.
