[Durham INC] appropriate listserv behavior

I understand the reasons that the INC list is unmoderated for members.
Colin's explanation for that is quite clear and sensible: too much time
would be required for a volunteer to keep up with the message volume.

That being said, as a member of the list, I would like to encourage all who
post to the list to avoid ad hominem attacks, and also to refrain from
working out personal disagreements using this public forum. I read this
list in order to become better informed about inter-neighborhood issues in
Durham, *not* to hear two people snipe at one another. I sincerely request
that interactions like the one I am referring to be taken off-list. If you
feel that you have been personally affronted, I would ask you to "turn the
other cheek", at least in this public space.
