Can We Heal Our Local WatershedsOn February 11 from 9 am - 1 pm at the North Carolina Botanical Garden, A Symposium "Can We Heal Our Local Watersheds?" will focus on current water quality problems and their causes, and the actions needed to restore our urban streams. Learn how through your own individual actions we can positively affect the health of our creeks. Experts from the State of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro will share their knowledge of the causes, culminating in a community discussion about what to do. Since many of the solutions lie within the realm of individual actions everyone can take, we've planned a Healthy Waterways Exchange from noon - 1pm. Over 20 organizations are participating. We are featuring a concurrent session for children called "Exploring the Works of Streams".
