Hi, Durham friends & neighbors.  Please take a minute to help
out:   I've been part of an Occupy Durham committee that is
organizing a petition drive to ask the Durham City Council to adopt a resolution
that calls for an amendment to the US Constitution that basically says (1)
corporations are not people and (2) corporate campaign contributions are not
speech and therefore not protected by the First
Amendment.    Please take a minute to consider lettting
the Durham City Council know that the enormous (and growing) influence of
corporations on our political insitutions is dangerous to our democracy.

Please forward the link on GoPetition to your friends and
contacts (after signing it yourself of course!).

Thanks
much,

Dave Austin
