Durham County Library Presents a Concert by the Triangle Jewish Chorale
Program:             The Triangle Jewish Chorale
Date:                     Sunday, May 6

Cost:                      Free and open to the public

About:  Durham County Library will host the Triangle Jewish Chorale in concert on Sunday, May 6 at 3 p.m. at the Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro St. The Chorale, now in its 17th year, is made up of people from across the Triangle - including students, teachers, doctors, lawyers and retired people - who wish to bring the joy of Jewish music to diverse audiences. The concert will feature pieces performed in Yiddish, Hebrew, English, Ladino and other languages in which Jews have sung through the ages. While introductions will guide listeners through the words, the music itself will need no explanation.

The Triangle Jewish Chorale is led by new conductor Lorena Guillen, who holds a doctorate in musicology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
