Next week's planning commission night ( Tuesday night, May 15th at City Hall), there is another important rezoning along Highway 751 -- right next door to the controversial 751 South development that is still undecided (thanks to a large number of concerned Durham citizens).

It is the FIRST item on the agenda. Ken Spaulding is representing this and he has been told there is no opposition.

The developers want to double the current density (which is already rather high for an area that was supposed to remain rural) from 4 lots/acre to 8 lots/acre. That means a lot more impervious surface (b/c they apparently aren't planning on doing this as a conservation subdivision, which requires 50% open space).

If you can attend this planning commission meeting and voice your concerns about this development (and/or development in this area of Durham (along 751 and near Jordan Lake)), your presence is GREATLY needed.

If you can't attend the meeting (warm bodies would be best), please email the Planning Commission members BEFORE Tuesday with your objections/concerns:
