[Durham INC] Upcoming EPA-sponsored Event: Durham Science Swap n Meet

EPA in RTP has organized a unique opportunity THIS FRIDAY, May 18 from 1:00-5:00 at MotorCo Music Hall for people in Durham working in any realm of Sustainability (see long list below) to get together in a relaxed atmosphere and share ideas.  Come enjoy light refreshments while mingling with others in Durham who are passionate about community sustainability.   In addition, they will be showing off some new tools that can help you do your job better and more efficiently.


*         Network for collaborations

*         Share data sources and project ideas

*         See if EPA can help with your project

*         See if your project can inform the EPA pilot in Durham

*         Help inaugurate a social network for sustainability science in Durham

*         Expect to see projects and live demos of EPA interactive tools including:

o   Community- Focused Environmental Risk Screening Tool (C-FERST)

o   Dynamic Systems Modeling

o   National Atlas for Sustainability
Who should come:
Anyone who collects or uses information in disciplines that relate to Sustainability and Durham - air pollution, brownfields, ecology, economics, energy, erosion, exposure, business, geography, green building, habitat, human health, land use, modeling, natural capital, soils, social capital, sociology, stormwater, transportation, urban forestry, water quality, well-being, wildlife
