[Durham INC] Save the date! June 23 - Tour de Fat 2012

Hello bicycle riders and enthusiasts,

I mentioned this event as an announcement at the last INC meeting.   Here
are some additional details.

New Belgium Brewery has announced the return of the Tour de Fat to Durham
on Saturday, June 23, from 10am-4pm on the lawn at DPAC!
Tour de Fat is a festival of bicycling-based revelry that includes a 5-mile
costumed bicycle parade followed by a carnival-type event filled with
entertaining
stunts and games and activities, local food, New Belgian (brewer of Fat
Tire) beer, and much more.   There is also a "trade your car for a bicycle"
contest,
and applications are now being accepted.     Tour de Fat is free to attend,
and bikers and non-bikers are all invited.   Proceeds from beer and
merchandise
sales go to local active transportation non-profits.

Durham is fortunate to be one of only 15 cities in the country to host a
Tour de Fat this year!    Put this on your calendar and plan to join the
