Email the governor today. Ask her to veto SB 382 (this bill will probably pass this week, so act today).

SB 382 would:

1. Force cities to provide water and sewer services to all developments in the Urban Growth Area, regardless of timing or economics. Urban Growth Areas are planning tools for the next 30 years, not blank checks for developers to cash immediately. You might plan to buy a house in thirty years, but are you ready to buy it today?

2. Exempt Greensboro from the Jordan Lake rules through 2014, while all other municipalities in the watershed will need to obey them. These rules have been in negotiation since 2003. Isn't it time we cleaned up the water supply for 250,000 Carolinians?
