Through awareness activities surrounding health equity, Radio One's Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day helps to stress the importance of regular check-ups that not only lead to better health, but in some cases, prevent health problems before they happen."
"Take a Loved One to the Doctor," an initiative started in 2002 by The Tom Joyner Morning Show and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration, was developed to emphasize the importance of regular medical check-ups and increase health awareness.
