[Durham INC] New from the Rev-elution: 751 South development proves price to win an election is too high

I greatly appreciate Carl's blog article (below) regarding Michael Page and Omar Beasley and the 751 South developers.

I don't think Beasley would have bought the most sturdy and expensive signs, nor would he have bought so many (more than Reckhow, Foster, and Page combined) if he didn't know how he was going to pay for them.

Beasley and his brother insisted (adamantly) to me and other voters and poll workers that he was not getting any money from the developers, thereby distinguishing him from the Committee for the Affairs of Black People, who also took a large donation from the Hunters.

I told Beasley's brother that I was interested to see how the accounts are balanced after the election. Contrary to his adamant denials, I now see that they were balanced as I had anticipated.

Looks like Beasley has taken a trick from Brenda Howerton's book. Charge it before the election and pay for it afterward -- with money from controversial special interests known to rouse the voters' interests before the election.

What can Durham voters expect now that the local election is over? Can we get a clue from the antics of Michael Page at a joint city/county meeting?http://rev-elution.blogspot.com/2012/11/751-south-development-proves-price-to.html
