Help Protect Our Trails - New "CityLife" Tells You How

Begins Tonight on DTV8 and "On Demand" on YouTube

 

Durham is widely known for our greenways. One of our most popular trails
is the American Tobacco Trail, used by thousands for recreation as well
as transportation. Over recent months, there have been some violent
incidents along the trail, prompting some to question their safety.  

 

"CityLife" host Beverly B. Thompson is joined by Durham Parks &
Recreation Director Rhonda B. Parker and American Tobacco Campus General
Manager Rick Polley to talk about the "Our Trails, Our Town" campaign,
what's being done to improve safety on our trails, and how local
businesses can help.

 

"CityLife" also chats with Durham Police Department Sergeant Hector
Borges and Trail Watch Volunteer Gene Carleton about some simple safety
tips to use while on any trail and how you can become extra "eyes and
ears" as a member of the new Durham Trail Watch Volunteer Program.
