Message from the Director:
Perhaps many of you do not know that the City of Durham attaches Durham Based Business Plans to economic development incentives that involve private construction projects. 24% of the $2M Save-A-Lot construction project went to Durham firms and over 37% of  the $10 M old Y.E. Smith School construction project will eventually be going to Durham firms. These plans are non-mandatory business retention. They work!
Your Partner in Success, Kevin Dick

OEWDNews:
Durham is a Finalist
The city has been selected as a finalist for the Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Mayors Challenge, a competition created to inspire American cities to generate innovative ideas that solve major challenges and improve city life – and that ultimately can be shared with other cities across the nation.
