Pursuant to the requirements of Section 160A-4.1, this serves as notice of the proposed imposition of or an increase in fees collected by the Planning Department.   The Planning Department is requesting an amended fee ordinance to reflect new site plan categories associated with the proposed removal of administrative discretionary decision-making from the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).   The fee ordinance is designed to be revenue neutral and does not increase fees on any party. A public hearing on this item is scheduled to be heard by the City Council on  March 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the City Council chambers, located on the 1st floor of City Hall at 101 City Hall Plaza, Durham, North Carolina, 27701.  Public comment is welcome at this meeting. A public hearing on this item is scheduled to be heard by the Board of County Commissioners on April 22, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the Commissioners’ chambers, located on the 2nd floor of the County Administration Building located at 200 East Main Street, Durham, North Carolina, 27701.  Public comment is welcome at this meeting. No new fee ordinance can be adopted and imposed in the City of Durham without approval by the Durham City Council and no new fee ordinance can be adopted and imposed in unincorporated Durham County without approval by the Durham Board of County Commissioners. A full copy of the proposed fee ordinance may be obtained from Mr. Patrick Young, and any comments any party may have should be addressed to Mr. Young. Comments will be accepted through the close-of-business on March 18, 2013.
