[Durham INC] Please help preserve DOST's Matching Grants Program

Dear INCers,

Durham Open Space and Trails Commission would like your help preserve 
the funding for DOST's Open Space & Trails Matching Grant Program in the 
upcoming county budget discussions. This program assists
non-profits throughout Durham County preserve open space and promote new 
or improved recreational opportunities. Applicants must provide at least 
one half of the project’s cost and manage all aspects of the project to 
accommodate public accessibility.

Below (and attached as a pdf) is a list of the many, many projects the
program helped many, many groups carry out since the program's founding 
in 1990. The program had just been reinstated for 2012 after a couple 
years of being suspended.

Please keep this program's funding in place: these projects make Durham 
better! Ask your county commissioners for continued funding in 2013!
