Durham Hosts Rapid Re-Housing for Landlords Session August 1

Event to Help Property Managers Learn How to Partner With This Initiative

Fast Facts:

*         This is an information session for Durham landlords and property managers to learn about the Rapid Re-Housing Initiative and the partnership opportunities that are available to them.


*         The Rapid Re-Housing Initiative provides a variety of services that are designed to quickly move people without homes back into permanent housing. Housing relocation services provided may include short-term or medium-term tenant-based rental assistance, legal services, credit repair, provision of security or utility deposits, utility payments, and/or assistance with moving costs.



*         Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

About the Community Development Department
The City of Durham's Community Development Department is responsible for coordinating the City's housing resources and various housing assistance programs as well as promoting affordable housing by working with investors and community housing development organizations. The department also provides assistance with the abatement of lead in older homes and administers the City's entitlement programs from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. Guided by the City's Strategic Plan, the department helps to ensure that the City has thriving, livable neighborhoods by enhancing housing quality and affordability for Durham residents.
