[Durham INC] National Night Out

Tuesday night, August 6, is National Night out. National Night Out is a
thirty year-old take-back-the-night event observed in neighborhoods all over
the county.  We use it as a get-to-know-your-neighbors excuse for a party.  

 

If there is a National Night Out event near where you live, please attend
it.  But if there is no event near you, please come have a beer with us at
1110 Virginia Avenue.  We will have a beer garden under a tent in our side
yard from 6:30 until 9:30.  There will be lots of cold German beer and wine,
pretzels from Guglhupf, and cheese.

 

If you have a favorite beer stein, please bring it with you.  If you don't,
we'll have one for you to use. If you have lederhosen or dirndl skirts, this
is your chance to wear them.

 

We did this last year and it was fun.  The beer and wine were great, but the
people were the best.
