American Tobacco Trail Bridge Opens Up Soon – New “CityLife” Explains What’s In Store
Begins Monday on DTV8 and “On Demand” on YouTube

Next month, the long-awaited American Tobacco Trail Bridge over I-40 will be open and ready for use, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony set for Saturday, October 12 at 9 a.m.

This month, “CityLife” host Beverly B. Thompson is joined by Durham Parks & Recreation Assistant Director Beth Timson and East Coast Greenway Alliance Advisory Board Chairman Chuck Flink to talk about why this trail and pedestrian bridge are important, not only for Durham, but the entire East Coast. For the second half of “CityLife,” Public Works Contract Management Supervisor Ed Venable shares the inside scoop on the ‘nuts-and-bolts’ of building this long-awaited project.
