Durham Seeks Community and Neighborhood Directory Registrations
Deadline to Register is October 31, 2013

DURHAM, N.C. - Community organizations and neighborhood associations interested in receiving notices for developments located near their properties are asked to either update their current registration - or register for the first time - with the Durham City-County Planning Department.

The department is currently updating its Community Organization Directory, formerly the Neighborhood Organization Directory, which is a list of community and neighborhood organizations that want to receive notices of all applications for development approval located near them. Organizational and neighborhood leaders are asked to visit http://durhamnc.gov/ich/cb/ccpd/Pages/org_signup_form.aspx by October 31 and provide the following information:
*         Neighborhood Association or Organization Name
*         Contact Name
*         Contact Address
*         Contact Telephone Number
*         Contact Email Address

Up to two additional contacts may also be provided during registration. Once registered, notices will be provided by email unless the organization/neighborhood pays a $50 fee every two years for mailed notices. Organizations that do not provide email contact information will not be included in the updated directory unless the fee is paid.
