Durham Youth Summit November 11
Food, Door Prizes and Gift Cards Available for Teens

What:              2013 Durham Youth Summit

Who:               City of Durham Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Durham Workforce Development Board Youth Council, Durham Parks and Recreation, Durham County Government, Durham Public Schools, and Durham YouthWork Internship Program

When:             Monday, November 11, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where:            Holton Career and Resource Center
                        401 N. Driver Street
                        Durham, N.C. 27703

Fast Facts:
*         This is a free opportunity for youth, ages 14 to 21, and their parents to explore various options after high school, connect to multiple community programs in Durham, and get better prepared for the world of higher education or the workforce.

*         In addition to learning about youth-tailored programs in Durham, teens and their parents will have an opportunity to participate in workshops around three topics - Employment, Education and Enlistment. Participants will also receive information on how to plan, apply and prepare for their future.
