Durham Hosts Follow-Up Meeting for Downtown's Holland Street

DURHAM, N.C. - Anyone wanting an update on the future of Holland Street should mark their calendar now to attend a follow-up meeting next week for the recent Holland Street Vision Urban Design Studio.

A public meeting is set for Wednesday, December 4 beginning at 5 p.m. in Conference Room GA (Ground Floor) of City Hall, located at 101 City Hall Plaza.

Hosted by the Durham City-County Planning Department, attendees will join the development team of the proposed Hotel Durham as they present a redesign of a portion of Holland Street and share how it fits in with the vision developed at the public workshop held on October 22, 2013. The street closing application has been withdrawn by the applicant, who is instead seeking a revocable easement for use of a portion of Holland Street.

For more information on the Urban Design Series, visit http://bit.ly/O14Fcj or contact Sara Young, AICP, with the Durham City-County Planning Department, at (919) 560-4137, ext. 28256 or by email at Sara.Young at DurhamNC.gov<mailto:Sara.Young at DurhamNC.gov>.
