Please, please, please take the time to fill out this online survey so that Durham County (and, therefore, FF) will continue and hopefully expand its recycling program and we can keep the large bins that my family fills every 2 weeks.

Thanks a bunch!

Durham County General Services Seeks Feedback about Roll Out Program

Durham,NC - February 5, 2014- Durham County General Services is requesting feedback from residents participating in the Roll Out Recycling Pilot Program. In November 2013, 2,000 County residents swapped out their 18 gallon recycling bins for 95 gallon roll carts. The Pilot Program is scheduled to run through June 30, 2014, at which time the program may be extended, expanded, or discontinued.

To assist with the evaluation of the Roll Out Recycling Pilot Program, the County is asking pilot participants to complete an online survey at http://bit.ly/RollOutRecycling. Hard copies of the survey are available upon request by calling 919-560-0433. The survey closes February 28.

The County is also hosting two community meetings. After a brief update on the pilot program, participants will be able to ask questions and share comments with staff. The meeting times and locations are:

"Environmental Stewardship is a goal of Durham County's ongoing Strategic Plan Initiative," said Brian Haynesworth, Solid Waste Program
Manager. "This roll cart pilot program is a significant step toward meeting the measures of that goal of expanding recycling programs by making them more convenient and by increasing the tons of waste diverted for recycling."

For additional information about the Roll Out Recycling Pilot Program or other solid waste management services within Durham County, please call the Solid Waste Division Information Line at 919-560-0433 or visit the website at www. dconc.gov/recycling.
