Durham Partially Closes Camden Avenue for Sewer Pipe Installation
Lane Closure in Effect from May 13 - 27
DURHAM, N.C. - Beginning Tuesday, May 13, the City of Durham's General Services Department is closing one lane of Camden Avenue, near the City's Fleet Management and Solid Waste Management administrative offices, to install a sewer line for the new fleet radio operations building.
Construction is set to begin on May 13 and should be finished by May 27, weather permitting. The City's contractor will provide traffic control during construction for motorists, as only one lane will be open during this timeframe. An alternate route is also available via Midland Terrace and East Club Boulevard.
The estimated cost for the sewer installation project is $26,000 and will be paid for with funds from the Radio Operations Building Capital Improvement Project. For more information, visit http://durhamnc.gov/ich/op/gs/Pages/Radio-Operations-Communications-Building.aspx.
