Subject: CBYX Students coming to the US!

My name is Molly Broadbent and I am writing from CIEE: Council on
International Educational Exchange. I am writing today because we are
still looking for host families for a few of our CBYX Inbound students
who will be flying to their host communities on Saturday. Even welcome
families (Families that will host the student for a few weeks at the
beginning of their program) would be great help, allowing these students
to get acclimated to their community before moving in with their
permanent families.

I’m sure you are familiar with the hosting experience, because of your
past participation in the CBYX program. We accept all types of host
families- single people, empty nesters, families with children both
young and old. The main requirement is a willingness to open your heart
and home to an exchange student, provide them with a place to sleep and
food on the table. Below are the students who are still seeking host homes.

*Felix* is a 15 year old boy from GERMANY. I am a very active person
with a lot of different interests. This starts with sports, culture,
music, up to political, social, and economical events. At the moment I
am engaged in the church, I am the leader of our tennis team and I am a
member of our school orchestra, where I play the double-bass. I avoid
wasting time, in my opinion a good day is a day with a lot of
activities. I like to think really deeply about different things, and
also to discuss about different opinions. Has one younger brother.
*GPA:* 3.90 *ELTIS Form 1 score:* 233 *Program Length:* 10 months
*Orientation: *G08/14/14 *Private School:* No. *Allergies:* None

*Philipp* is a 16 year old boy from GERMANY. I`m a friendly guy and I
love to laugh. I´m helpful and enjoy my life. My favorite activities are
theatre group, swimming, meeting friends and I like to go outside. I
like to spend time with our dog and my family members. While on my
program I would like to do trips to see some sights and do some
extra-curricular activities like science, math and sports like Baseball.
I would like to cook with my host family some traditional German and
American foods. Cannot live with spiders or snakes. *GPA:* 3.70 *ELTIS
Form 1 Score:* 251 *Program Length:* 10 months *Orientation:* G 08/14/14
*Private School:* No. *Allergies:* None

*Lisa* is a 15 year old girl from GERMANY. I'm an open-minded girl and
my friends and my family often say that I'm always in a good mood and
that I can make them smile even if they don't want to. I love doing
sports for example soccer, volleyball and badminton. I also like to play
piano and to meet my friends. For my community project I would like to
volunteer with kids or to take a part in the government of my City
because I like children and want to do something for my setting. That's
why I'm a member of a political youth organization. I'm an only child,
but it doesn't matter because I go outside a lot with my family or my
friends. *GPA:* 4.00 *SLEP Score:* 223 *Program Length:* 10 months
*Orientation:* *Private School:* No. *Allergies:* Allergies to Grass;
Barley; Oat; Rye; Corn; Mugwort; Plantain; Hazel; Cat; Cavy; Mildew;
Mite; horses; birds, guinea pigs; rabbits; hamsters (OK with any of
these animals if they don't live in the house)

*Martin* is a 16 year old boy from GERMANY. Hey, my name is Martin and
I'm currently 15 years old, but soon I'll become 16. I like to play
soccer and meet with friends, and I also enjoy playing with the
computer. I'm very mind-open and like to explore the world. My friends
say I'm funny and I'm not a kind of too serious person. I already had a
trip to England but there I was in a boarding school with some German
classmates. During this trip I'd like to join a sports team and try some
new sports. DPOK SPOK *GPA:* 3.90 *ELTIS Score:* 242 *Program Length:*
10 months *Orientation:* *Private School:* No. *Allergies:* None

If you are interested in being a welcome family for one of these
students, please contact me directly and I will connect you with a Local
Coordinator in your area. You can also begin a host family application
here: http://usahs.ciee.org/highschool/ and someone will be in touch
with you right away. If you are not in the position to welcome one of
these students, please pass along my message to anyone who might be
interested. Thank you for your help and for your commitment to
international exchange!

Molly
