[Durham INC] The Great Durham Lock Up!

Good Afternoon Friends, Advocates, Community Leaders, Businessmen and Elected Officials,

 

It is time for The Great Durham Lock Up, a fundraising event being held by Operation Breakthrough Inc., to help raised monies to support (1) OBT’s Self-Sufficiency Program; (2) PAC 1 Neighborhood Association; and (3) Durham’s Project Homeless Connect Program to assist homeless person’s or others who are about to become homeless with rental and utility assistance.

 

OBT is asking community leaders, elected officials, directors, CEO’s, city and county employees, business and Church leaders to volunteer to be locked up and secure a $100.00 bond to be released. OBT is asking participating “volunteer” offenders to pick when they are willing to be picked up by a Sheriff’s Department Deputy and placed in custody on September 24,2014.

The event will start at 8am and go until 8pm. Participants will be placed in custody and held for up to thirty minutes at OBT’s administrative office, located 800 N. Main Street until bond is posted.

Mayor William V. Bell has agreed to be taken into custody by Sheriff Mike Andrews.
