I thought this report from Boston would be of interest to some in the community.  Obviously, many of the affordability options cannot be applied in NC, but I was especially interested in what they said about making affordability less of an issue.

HiAttached is a working version of a document the MA Sierra Club prepared with our partners to begin to address displacement and gentrification along new transit lines in the greater Boston area.  I realize this is a unique problem for many areas but for cities were the hipsters and tech community want to live it's a big issue with new transit causing the displacement and destablization of long term minority, working class and low income communities.  The Mayor of Boston is interested because his base in the working class communities of South Boston and Dorchester are being gentrified.
