Right up front, I apologize for this not being a typical email to this
listserv, but here's why I'm reaching out to you.

On Monday, a well-groomed Yorkie with a decorative collar appeared in the
Anderson Street-Wrightwood Park area. Based on the glimpses of the collar
we think it is a female. She is so frightened that we haven't been able to
get close enough to see if she has tags or to get a photo.

Based on her grooming and the collar, we are convinced she has a home, but
we haven't been able to find it. We've taken a number of contact actions,
all so far without success:

   - Listed her information on 5 large neighborhood listservs
   - Contacted the shelter and Animal Services
   - Contacted a number of veterinarian clinics
   - Contacted pet groomers
   - Contacted Petsmart and Petco
   - Contacted other animal rescue groups
   - Contacted other pet supply businesses

The reason I'm reaching out to you is because this listserv covers a
broader area and I was informed that these little guys can go up to about 7
miles when they are lost.

We are working hard to capture her,and when we do, we will try to find out
if she has a microchip and take her to the shelter for safe keeping.
Hopefully, she will go back to her home or find a new wonderful home.

I so hope that someone on this listserv might know about this little dog.
I also hope you don't smack me for sending this email.

Thanks,
Marge Nordstrom
